Wind Turbines

What is a wind turbine?

A wind turbine is a device that converts kinetic energy from wind into electricity. This electricity generally gets put straight into the national grid or into batteries for later use. Over the development, wind turbines have been changed to give a variety of wind turbines such as vertical or horizontal axis turbines. There are also mini turbines which can be used to supply electricity to smaller power consuming objects like caravans.
